Advocacy Committee


Develop strategy and carry out advocacy activities to influence stakeholders in government, the private sector and the religious/civic sector.


  • Develop key messages
  • Prepare influencer chart
  • Propose priority strategies and timetable for action
  • Decide advocacy method, meetings, letters, e-mails
  • Plan, implement and assess advocacy actions
  • Monitor political developments
  • Network and partner with other advocacy organizations
  • Involve wider membership in advocacy actions
  • Develop and maintain media contact list
  • Provide editorial and publishing support
  • Manage website content with technical support
  • Produce and manage materials inventory

Community Engagement Committee


Build MFATEH membership through reaching out to faith leaders and faith communities that represent the diversity of the GTA community.


  • Increase membership by 16-18 constituents
  • Have 18 faith leaders become signatories to MFATEH
  • Build alliances with ISARC, CPJ,  25 in 5 CAMPAIGN, CAMPAIGN 2000, and other groups concerned with housing and poverty issues in the GTA.
